Nine-year-old writes hit iPhone app

You might think you’re pretty hot stuff because you’ve figured out how to change your Facebook status from your iPhone, but you’ve got nothing on nine-year-old Lim Ding Wen.

This young prodigy from Singapore is fluent in six programming languages, according to a BBC report this week, and his newest creation, an iPhone drawing game called Doodle Kids, has racked up over 4,000 downloads in just two weeks. He wrote it for his younger sisters, who love to draw.

Doodle Kids, which lets players sketch with their fingers on the iPhone’s screen and shake it, Etch-A-Sketch-style, to clear, has already racked up a healthy three-and-a-half star rating on the App Store. One reviewer commented: “Awesome app!…Amazing that something like this was made by a 9 year old”.

Bye Bye iPhone

Hace un buen tiempo que me aburrió my iPhone, por lo que dedique un “X” número de horas investigando tanto off como online, llegando a la conclusión de que mi mejor opción era el nuevo Blackberry Bold 9000; muchos diran pero porque no el Storm de Blackberry, bueno respuesta simple: es otro iPhone con touchscreen y verán; NO QUIERO TOUCHSCREEN. Para alguien como yo que la mayoría del tiempo está usando el teléfono mientras me muevo no puedo usar ni ser eficiente (rápido) con una pantalla táctil. Entonces así comencé mi búsqueda, características que debería tener: Un teclado completo, OS no basado en Windows pues normalmente son malísimos como el DASH, Red 3G, Live Messenger, Compatibilidad MMS, y un buen mensajero electrónico. Conclusión BOLD.

Hasta ahora es exactamente todo lo que necesito, pues lo que más extrañaba del Iphone era la incompatibilidad con el Live Messenger, teniendo que usar aplicaciones de terceros, pero que no son nada amigables, eso abonado con google maps, GPS, una resolución en pantalla mucho mejor que incluso el iPhone, menor peso, menor tamaño, 3G, memoria ajustable con 1G de interna, video, navegación con voz y muchísimas cosas más, estoy más que encantado, lo único es que la resolución de la cámara es de solo 2MG, pero puedo vivir con eso. Desbloquea tu iPhone

El Viernes Octubre 10 decidí así de la nada que quería desbloquear mi Iphone no solo para usarlo con T-Mobile y AT&T sino también para agregar diferentes aplicaciones prohibidas o limitadas por Apple; entre las más necesitadas por mí, el Cycorder, aplicación para tomar video. Me tomo dos días, y un desvelo lograrlo. Cuestión de leer y leer, probar y probar, preguntar y preguntar, y finalmente aun mas experimentar y experimentar, pero al final nadie te quita este hermoso sentimiento de haberlo logrado y no haber pagado ningún centavo. Para que vean que soy compartido les dejo las instrucciones.

These are instructions on how to unlock/jailbreak your 2G iPhone to the 2.1 iPhone firmware using QuickPwn for Windows. Before beginning make sure you have updated to iTunes 8.Step One Create a folder called Pwnage on your desktop. Download the following files and place them in the Pwnage folder you just created: - QuickPwn 2.1 - BL 3.9 - BL 4.6 - 2.1.0 (2G): iPhone1,1_2.1_5F136_Restore.ipsw Extract the QuickPwn21-1.zip file to the Pwnage folder. Step Two Connect your iPhone to the computer and launch iTunes. Select your iPhone from the list of devices on the left. Now hold down shift and click the Restore button. Restore is preferred as it won’t create any wasted space on your iPhone. Navigate to the Pwnage folder on your desktop and select the 2.1 firmware ipsw. Click the Open button to continue. Step Three Once iTunes has finished updating your iPhone to the 2.1 firmware you may launch QuickPwn.exe from the Pwnage folder on your desktop. Step Four Make sure you iPhone is connected to the computer and click the blue arrow to continue. Step Five Click the Browse button to locate your iPhone firmware. Step Six Select the 2.1 firmware ipsw from the Pwnage folder on your desktop then click the Open button. Step Seven QuickPwn will check to make sure the ipsw is valid. Click the blue arrow button to continue. Step Eight You can now select whether to Add Cydia, Add Installer, Replace Boot Logos, and Unlock Phone. Select the ones you would like to perform then click the clue arrow button Step Nine You will now be asked to select your bootloader files. Click the Browse button and select the 3.9 bootloader from the Pwnage folder on your desktop. Likewise do the same thing for the 4.6 bootloader file. Then click the blue arrow button to continue. Step Ten QuickPwn will now ask you to confirm your iPhone is connected via USB before continuing. Click the blue arrow button to proceed. Step Eleven QuickPwn will now automatically put your iPhone into recovery mode. Once its in recovery mode you will be prompted to: Hold the Home button for 5 seconds, Hold the Home and Power buttons for 10 seconds, then release the Power button and continuing holding the Home button until your iPhone is in DFU mode. Watch the prompts carefully and follow along. Step Twelve Once QuickPwn detects your iPhone in DFU mode it will begin the jailbreak process. Step Thirteen Once jailbreaking is complete QuickPwn will inform you that it was successfull. Your iPhone will then proceed to run BootNeuter. This process will take about 5 minutes.
